We supply D2 Photo sensing PE cells for controlling mains powered street lighting. Supplied in an industry D2 format, the HSC-PE2 is designed to switch ON at low light levels and OFF at high light levels. The controller uses an electronic sensor circuit, providing higher reliability and superior temperature stability of light level switching thresholds. Transients on the power supply caused by surges or lighting can cause arcing between the terminal contacts. The plastic used in the HSC-PE2 is CT2 rated, which means that arcing between the contacts is extinguished quickly and will not ignite the unit, therefore making it fire resistant.
