Oakey RSAF Site Project

The project includes the refurbishment of existing Republic of Singapore Air Force helicopter training facilities which are housed at the base. New support logistics and maintenance facilities will also be constructed as will airfield infrastructure. 

The additional infrastructure is required to support the deployment of an additional detachment of Boeing CH-47 airframes to the RSAF Helicopter Squadron's facilities at the base which is part of an agreement between the Republic of Singapore and the Commonwealth of Australia. When it was put to tender by the Australian Government the estimated cost of the project was $50 million.
